What does radio play mean? Radio play means a recorded play where it is broadcasted on radio or published on audio media, such as tape or CD. Radio drama depends on dialogue, music and sound effects to help the listener imagine the characters and story. Radio drama achieved development in the 1920s. By the 1940s, it was becoming popular. however, radio drama lost some of its popularity, and in some countries it has never regained large audiences. however now they use Radio Play in schools, museums, at home and in cars.
